Are you looking to learn more about the different kinds of whiskey out there? Are you also on a limited budget? OK, so are we!
This blog is focused on discovering great whiskey at a great price. We're on the lookout for bargains without being too cheap. Let's go exploring... Cheers!
Hey everyone - welcome back to Episode 7. The holiday season is officially in full swing. Thanksgiving is past, Hanukkah just wrapped up and the Christmas frenzy is on. Of course, nothing says holidays more than a glass of good whiskey! So with that in mind, we dive into a bottle of Jefferson Bourbon for this episode in order to see if it makes for a good glass of cheer. (hint: it does)
The good folks who make Jefferson Bourbon actually make at least 4 different variations. But for our cheapskate purposes here at the RGGTW, you know we are going for the least expensive and generally more available model. Not that we would not appreciate the fancier models of course, but we are here to find the best bargain possible. Besides, if you are going to spend $100 or more on a bottle of bourbon, well, it better be outstanding. So we will leave the reviews of the obvious to others and continue to focus on our quest for goodness at a reasonable price point.
In this particular case, we debated Jefferson's as it does cost around $35 US - at least in our heavily taxed neck of the woods. It's a little more than some bourbon's we've looked at already, like the Buffalo Trace, but still not bad for a small batch production. So grab a glass of your favorite beverage and join us for a few minutes to check out our latest video review of Jefferson's Kentucky Straight Bourbon. Enjoy and have a great holiday season!
OK, someday we will need to figure out how YouTube selects its video "thumbnails" - some other day....
